Dr Johanna Motteram is an experienced English language teacher and an English language assessment specialist based in Singapore. She collaborates with British Council colleagues in the region to deliver evidence-based programs to support English language learning and test preparation and provides advice on assessment related problems to schools and other stakeholders. Her research interests include the assessment of writing, the impact of high-stakes English language testing and effective instruction of Halliday’s Interpersonal Metafunction.


Hanoi University of Industry, Vietnam

Dr. Duyen Tran is the Manager of the Language Education project and the Deputy Director of the Testing Center, Hanoi University of Industry, Vietnam. She has many years of experience working as an English teacher at her university. She has been actively involved in designing and conducting teacher professional training courses, especially in English language teaching and assessment. She received her PhD degree from Queensland University of Technology, Australia in 2015. Her research areas include language teaching and assessment, teaching methodology, the employment of ICT in language education, and English for Special Purposes. 


The VietTESOL Convention 2018 Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that the Registration for VietTESOL Convention 2018 is now OPEN. To be hosted by Hanoi University of Industry on the theme of "English Language Education in the Industrial Revolution 4.0: Meeting the Needs of the Dynamic Labor Market," VietTESOL Convention 2018 aims to bring together teachers, practitioners, researchers and research scholars in the field to exchange ideas and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of English language education to prepare for the learners’ in the fast-changing socio-economic, cultural and educational environment of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
