Join Randi Littman for the webinar entitled Strategies for Learning and Retention of New Vocabulary to explore approaches that university and high school students can acquire essential vocabulary for their academic success.
In this webinar, we will explore strategies and tips for learning and remembering new words in a meaningful, interactive, and memorable way that is guaranteed to hold students’ interest. The workshop demonstrates vocabulary learning, repeated usage, and contextualization.
The participants will also learn how to set students up for autonomous learning. By reviewing some of the exercises and activities together during the webinar, teachers will have first-hand knowledge and practice with these methodologies.

Randi has spent the last several years of her career teaching English as a Foreign or Second Language. In 2018-19, prior to becoming an English Language Fellow, she taught EFL in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. She was an ESL instructor at the International Center for Language Studies (ICLS) in Washington DC, which hosts students from all over the world. She prepared students to take the TOEFL and IELTS exams in addition to teaching regular classes. Randi also taught oral presentation skills to executives of the World Bank and the IDB (International Development Bank). Prior to that, Randi served in the Peace Corps as a volunteer at the Universidad Tecnologica de San Juan del Rio in Mexico teaching EFL to the most advanced level students. Randi spent much of her career working as a CPA/Controller for several non-profit corporations in the Washington DC area before returning to her passion, teaching English overseas.
