Description
Vocabulary instruction within university settings, characterized by typically large class sizes, often leans towards a teacher-centered approach, offering limited opportunities for student engagement and practice. This workshop presents a method for teachers to exchange roles with their students by fostering a dynamic approach that empowers students to take charge of their vocabulary learning. Participants will explore various student-led activities that allow students to work individually, in pairs, and in group settings. These activities are designed to provide opportunities for students to present, practice, and apply new words in context. Additionally, technology is utilized to facilitate engaging and interactive vocabulary practice. The workshop aims to empower teachers with practical vocabulary teaching strategies.
