The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into education has revolutionized learning methodologies. While AI presents opportunities for personalized learning and enhanced learning outcomes, students’ misuse of AI has raised concerns about academic integrity. Through in-depth interview, this qualitative research explores university lecturers’ perceptions toward the prevention and detection of plagiarism in higher education in the age of AI. The findings shed light on lecturers' attitudes, challenges and strategies concerning plagiarism detection and prevention such as educational interventions, technological solutions, pedagogical approaches, and policy support.
