Description

The advent of Chat GPT has impacted students’ learning style, especially students in rural areas, and brought a new phase in education - the phase of ‘A.I mentor’, which supports language learning process with techonology application to motivate students’ autonomy. This study was conducted at Nhi Chieu upper secondary school in an attempt to point out some factors influencing the quality of applying A.I in language learning process in rural areas including administrative support, course content and design, learner’s autonomy and technological awareness. The findings revealed that there is a positive relationship between the set of variables and the quality of applying A.I in language learning process. In addition, there is a significant difference in the perception of the students between gender, level of English competence, and well-equipped classrooms in rural areas. From the study results, some recommendations have been proposed contributing to the improvement of applying A.I in language learning process in rural areas.
